Data Access Platforms
There is a growing ecosystem of commercial and free/open-source platforms that offer the global development community access to satellite imagery and analytics. Many of these platforms allow users to access data through a graphic user-interface (GUI) for ease of navigation, and others also include access via an application program interface (API) which enables users to ‘stream’ data directly to their machine or a server. The following sub-sections provide descriptions and links to several leading platforms from the commercial and open-source space.
